Why We Like It

After years of trial and error with finding the right hiking shoes the search finally ended when a friend of mine introduced me to the Salomon XA Pro 3D's. In fact, that same friend hiked the entire PCT in these puppies. What makes these shoes amazing on the trail also makes them great for traveling South America.

Super lightweight and breathable means if they get soaked they'll dry out much faster than their Gore-Tex counterparts. I experienced this firsthand while hiking the Ciudad Perdida in Colombia: after wading through waist deep rivers, within a few hours of hiking my shoes were dry again while my fellow hiker's Gore-Tex shoes were still soaked. Best of all, after logging over 500 miles on a range of terrains I have yet to have a blister.
