For years I've been looking for a pair of boardshorts that double as everyday shorts. Some shorts like the Gramicci Rocket Dry and other similar styles come close, but they aren't secure enough for more-rigorous water activities. The Ripcurl Layday boardshorts are what I've been seeking: stretchy enough to allow freedom of movement, side hand pockets big enough for an iPhone 7 Plus, and a well-designed drawstring tie with no Velcro to get caught on.
